Plasma formation and diagnostic techniques have been applied for diagnosis and non-invasive treatment of a breast cancer. A microwave CT (Computed Tomography) imaging has been proposed as a novel mammography technique without X-ray exposure and pain during diagnosis. For a practical application of the proposed mammography, a compact plain shape antenna with wide band characteristics had been invented and evaluated. Cytotoxic effects of atmospheric pressure gas plasma (AGP) irradiation onto breast cancer cells have also been experimentally verified.
