Abstract
Heat resisting plastic bonded magnets of Daido Steel have been developed during these several years for the aim of application to automobile parts.
The magents consist of ferrite powder, thermoplastic Nylon 6 and some additives, and are formed by the injection moulding in magentic field.
The principal characteristics of the magnets are as follows:
(1) Magnetic properties are better than isotropic ferrite magnets. (BH)max is 1.2∼1.5MGOe.
(2) The maximum temperature for continuous use is as high as 150°C due to the superiority in heat resisting properties.
(3) Chemical resisting properties are strong.
(4) Natural environmental resistability is good.
