Abstract

The effective range of a film density in orthopantomographic interpretation is wider than that of routinal radiogram. Its distributing range of their diagnostic informations was found from 0.4 to 2.6 linearly.
The excellent image quality for diagnostic aid will be obtained from suitable combining with the different film and intensifying screen. We have detected on the different effect of image quality in orthopantomogram used by six types of film and four types of intensifying screen.
Authors found as follows:
1. The best effect has obtained from the combining HI-Plus screen (Dupont) and M type film (Sakura) in their image quality.
2. Better effect has obtained in lower sensitivity screen (Piomex) combining with highest sensitivity film like as Q type (Sakura) or KXL type (Fuji).
