A case of central hemangioma of the mandible in a 43-year-old man is presented in this paper. He was referred by his dentist to our hospital for the indication of a cystic lesion of his left mandible which was found accidentally during panoramic radiography.
Most cases of the central hemangioma statistically analysed revealed “sun ray appearance” and “soap bubble effect”. But different from those cases, our case showed cystic lesion in X-P examinations and clinical findings.
It was operated as “bone cyst” in the clinical diagnosis but it was diagnosed as “central hemangionma” (“venous hemangioma”) in the pathology.
