Abstract
On-line information retrieval services, such as, JOIS, DIALOG, etc. have adopt the simple asyncronus type of data communication into their systems and it is rather easy to operate a microcomputer for those services, as a terminal. Moreover, with some additional functions to a microcomputer, it can be an intelligent terminal and make it possible to lighten sercher's burden in his operation. As an example, we should like to discuss on-line information retrieval with a microcomputer in the Library of Medical College of Oita.
