Abstract
In order to clarify the present status of utilization of computer-readable business databases in Japanese corporations, a questionnaire survey wae performed by a users study group, addressed to the member companies & institutes of NIPDOK. A high rate of return was achieved, and the answers were carefully examined. The study items covered information retrieval section, utilizer section, retrieval subjects, utilization objectives, extent of public relations, SDI services, degree of processing, names of files & utilized degree, and expectations from users.
