This study aims to develop the drive cycle for the public utility jeepney (PUJ) in Metro Manila. The On-Board GPS instrumentation was used in gathering data speed profile of jeepneys plying at major routes in the metropolis. Drive cycles are developed through unbiased selection of micro trips from bulk speed time driving profile of different PUJs. Candidate drive cycles are selected by absolute value difference of probability distribution of normalized frequencies of developed drive cycles. The resulting drive cycle for the public utility jeepney is presented in this paper.
