Vehicles make unnecessary idling at the intersection cause large amount of fuel wastage and vehicular emissions. This is caused by making unnecessary idling at the intersection due to lack off signal timing information and lengthy signal cycle. It is important to study the vehicle behavior and traffic flow by proving signal information like required speed and signal timing to drivers. This paper examines the microsimulation model to assess the potential impacts of the speed control as per signal timing on mobility and environment under heterogeneous traffic flow and indiscipline lane behavior and comparative study with vehicles switch engine to off when they are waiting during red phase. The results demonstrate the potential of speed control concerning signal time to improve mobility, fuel consumption, and vehicular emission. While the presented results show a positive impact on mobility by 89% and the environment by 10%.
