Japanese-style school education in 2021 which has been published by Mext aims to realize ";individualized optimal learning ";and ";;collaborative learning"; that draws out the potential of all children. Correspondence high schools, which were institutionalized after World War II to allow students to study while working, are now increasing in number as schools that allow each student to learn according to his or her own learning style. What kind of environment and what kind of use are school libraries, which can present a variety of materials and provide learning information suited to each student, making in correspondence high schools?
This research note summarizes the history, diversity, and previous research on correspondence high schools, and summarizes the results of school visits to two schools conducted as preliminary research for future studies.
