A display by mobile fine particles that can rewrite and has the memory behavior as like an electrical-paper-display, is proposed here. The nematic LC, which mixes fine particles of several decade microns diameter is used for this display. Under the reflection mode, the white display image is caused by the light scattering of fine particles, when the fine particle group has entered the pixel area by an applied electric field, and the black display image is caused by the light absorption material put on the cell, when the group has been out of the pixel area. This report will show the basic elecrtooptical characteristics of this display.
