Transmission ellipsometry was used to find the wavelength dispersion of the anisotropic refractive indices of the nematic liquid crystal. Analyzing the component of the phase difference ratio Ψ and splitting out the multiple interference by means of the numerical fitting with the experimental result, it was found that the wavelength dispersion of the anisotropic refractive indices can be evaluated quantitatively. Our result shows this method does not require to use the high refractive indices glass as substrates even though the difference between the refractive indices of liquid crystal and glass is small.
