Synthesis and properties of stereorcontrolled polyketones having mesogenic side-chain were studied to reveal that the influence of backbone stereoregularlity was significant: higher stereoregularlity stabilized more the crystalline phase. Isotactic 2 with a chiral backbone showed a chiral nematic phase.
