抄録

We have reported on an improvement of transmission for Multi-domain Vertical Alignment (MVA-) LCDs propared by a photo-alignment. By optimizing the photo-alignment process with low UV light irradiation energy to fabrifate four-divided MVA-LCD and using circular polarizers, we achieve the almost comparable transmittance of the MVA-LCD to that of conventional TN-LCD.
