We have designed the liquid crystal new mixtures for OCB-LCD using materials with a difluoromethyleneoxy moiety as a linkage group. Physical properties result that the mixtures have suitable characteristics for OCB-LCDs, because they have high dielectric anisotropy, high optical anisotropy and low viscosity.
