PA34 強誘電性液晶におけるCダイレクタの3次元的ねじれ(物理・物性)

抄録

We studied about orientation of c-director in freely suspended ferroelectric liquid crystal films. In a polarizing microscopic observation, any texture has been observed. It does not support a result of 4×4 matrix simulation on an assumption that all molecules orient uniformly in each layer, and suggests that molecular orientation has kinks in each smectic layer. These kinks do not make any disclination or dislocation and accompany a helical structure.
