The influence of the UV cure treatment of the UV curable liquid crystalline monomer (abbreviated as the UV curable monomer) on the voltage holding ratio (VHR) was experimentally investigated. The UV curable monomer RMM34 (Merck Co. Ltd) was doped with the nematic mixture ZLI-2293 (Merck Co. Ltd.) by 6 [wt%]. The doping of the UV curable monomer results in the decrease of VHR, however, by irradiating UV light to the cells, the VHR are improved. The values of VHR for those cells remain lower value than that in the case without doping the UV curable monomer.
