One of the structures of polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs) is phase separation between liquid crystal droplets and polymer matrix. We prepared a single liquid crystal droplet in silicone oil. We observed it in electric field using polarizing microscope. Behavior of director in the single nematic droplet shall be discussed.
