Recently, the defect mode in CLCs has been studied for lasing at low threshold. We have already investigated the lasing characteristics from a dye-doped 2micro -nematic layer sandwiched by two Polymer CLC (PCLC) films. The polarization characteristics of the phase retardation defect mode emission is different from that of single layer and twist defect mode systems in CLCs In this study, we demonstrate an interesting phenomenon caused by thicker anisotropic layer such as 100micro.
