Abstract
Metal nanoparticles doped TN-LCDs exhibit frequency modulation response with a sensitivity to a high frequency component of the applied voltage accompanying the response times of several mill-seconds to several hundreds micro-seconds. In particular the FM-TN-LCD exhibits an enhanced effect in the over driving, where a critical damping is realized depending on the driving waveform. We also report the switchability of FM-TN-LCD.
