Abstract
The study of the physical property of the Blue phases (BPs) is of significant interest in a recent field of the liquid crystal. So far, it is well known that the BP_III_--isotropic transition shows a critical point in a binary mixture of rod-like molecules. Accordingly we can expect similar behavior even in mixtures where rod-like molecules are replaced by bent-core molecules, while there is no experimental evidence. In this study, we have carried out high-sensitivity DSC measurements to observe a critical point of the BP_III_--isotropic transition in a mixture system using a bent-core liquid crystal.
