In this study we carefully examine the method of polymer-wall stabilization of the Reverse Twisted Nematic (RTN) LCD. We optimized the photomask used for UV irradiation and found the lowest concentration of UV curable LC monomers enough to form a rigid polymer wall inside the LC host. Then we finally succeeded in fabricating the polymer-wall stabilized RTN-LCDs. The retention time of the RTN LC configuration is exte nded to over a month and a half.
