A set of binary mixtures comprised of a novel perfluoroalkylated phthalocyanine (1) and fullerene derivative (2) were prepared with the aim to enhance the charge transport properties in comparison to the single component by exploiting the miscibility of the materials. Previous work has presented the positive effect that binary (phthalocyanine/fullerene) systems have on the charge transport properties,1 but so far the improvement has been limited by the miscibility of the components. In this work, we aim to improve the miscibility of the systems by introducing perfluoroalkylated materials which by means of intermolecular interactions will lead to more stable mixtures with improved mobility (Fig.1).
