抄録

We have reported the first ferroelectric columnar liquid crystal with a spontaneous polarization along its columnar axis. However, the rate of polarization reversal is very slow and it is not practically useful. Hence, we are tackling this challenge especially by modifying molecular design of side chains. In this poster presentation, we will report the molecules newly developed toward the above goal and their physical properties.
