Abstract

For future mobile communications such as Beyond 5G and 6G, the application of millimeter wave bands is being considered for high-speed and large capacity communications. However, one of issues of the millimeter wave band is the shielding of radio waves by obstacles. Therefore, we are developing Intelligent Reflecting Surface (IRS) that may contribute to area expansion by utilizing liquid crystal technology. We have confirmed that the developed IRS can reflect radio waves in any direction.
