ラビング配向膜の分子配向と液晶配向の関係

Infrared dichroic measurements were applied to the analysis of the effects of organic solvent treatments on polyimide(PI) liquid crystal(LC) alignment films. Immersion in certain kinds of solvents such as acetone or ethyl lactate reduced the dichroic difference of PI and the pretilt angle of LC. The pretilt angle decreased proportionally to the dichroic difference values.
