NMR法を用いたアルキル・シアノビフェニル液晶の静的動的挙動

Static and dynamic properties of n-alkyl cyanobiphenyl(nCB) have been studied by ¹³C NMR measurements. The order-parameters(P₂), ¹³C-para positions and terminal methyl carbon-13 of nCB clearly show even-odd effect, while the ¹³C-ortho positions of nCB do not show the even-odd effect, i.e. the result displays inverse behavior as compared with the behavior of para-, and methyl carbon-13.
