Many studies of pancreatectomy are reported and we can see from many reports that there is no hypoglycemic effect of sulfonylurea upon pancreatectomized dogs.
One of us, Yoshida, took part in a symposium of therapy of diabetes mellitus at the congress of Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, and our studies were concerned chiefly with the mechanism of hypoglycemic action of sulfonylurea. Here are some of them.
