Abstract

Nowadays, advanced systems are becoming increasingly sophisticated with technological progress. However, support systems for cooperative work have not yet been sufficiently studied. To understand and support the organisation of collaborative activity, it is important to develop safe and efficient systems in the real world. Moreover, good team cooperation can contribute to reducing workload and preventing human error.

In this paper, we first introduce three research attempts that focus on cooperative work based on field analysis. This research shows ideas about how we should develop collaborative work from a scientific approach. After that, we present our new research concept for systems supporting cooperative activity. We also introduce research into the remote tower concept, which is advanced air traffic tower control using augmented reality systems, as a new research orientation of support technology for the future of Air Traffic Control Systems.
