The thermographic stress imaging method was applied to the textile fabrics. The distribution of the stress in textile fabrics could be observed visually and numerically by this system. The analysis indicates an inhomogeneous stress distribution for the fabrics having defects or sewed parts. The analysis also showed the feature of the clamp methods in the tensile test.
