Experimental Study on the Recycling of Polyvinyl Chloride Floor Covering

Abstract

In order that processing of plastic building material and the method of disposal affect environment problem, actually recycling promotion is performed in various industries in recent years. This report has discussed a possibility of recycling the floor covering tile using polyvinyl chloride was scrapped by repair and demolition as materials of a plastic building material. These results are as follows; (a) The removal of the impurities is indispensable because the sheet is hard and becomes brittle, through the tensile strength of the recycled plastic sheet was high when the one for the mortars is contained as impurities. (b) Decreasing the tensile strength by the fiber of the sheet lining was not recognized, and the possibility of recycling is high.
