An Investigation of Sealant Adhesion by Using Corona Discharge Treatment

Abstract

Corona Discharge Treatment is very popular method to improve adhesion and is used in industry widely. Authors applied Corona Discharge Treatment on a construction sealant adhesion to panels with a high-durability coating and resealing with cured silicone sealant and have good results that Corona Discharge Treatment improve the surface wetting and a sealant adhesion dramatically. We reported that Corona Discharge Treatment apparatus which designed for sealant joint treatment, typical procedures and applications in construction field.
