Abstract
Application of JIS A 6021 waterproofing coating for exterior wall has been increased as longer life and maintenance free of buildings. High flexibility is required from top-coating to follow primer movement without cracking. The flexibility easily causes stain and spoils appearance. We measured physical property and water contact angle of various paint films and studied desired film property having compatibility of flexibility and stain resistance. And found that controlling hydrophilic conversion rate of surface is highly contributed. And we evaluated adhesive strength of various outdoor exposure tested panels and found possibility of sealer-less waterproofing primer-surfacer development using the emulsion in consideration of hydrophobic bonds.
