Abstract
Asbestos fibers can be released from asbestos containing cement sheets due to deterioration. The asbestos abatement technology by coating systems for deteriorated asbestos containing cement sheets has been developed. In this study, cool-heat cycling tests was done to evaluate the durability of coatings which were done on deteriorated decorated cement shingles for dwelling roofs and deteriorated corrugated slate sheets. At the same time, as an alternative of asbestos containing cement sheets, calcium silicate boards were examined on durability tests.
