Abstract
Discoloration of vinyl floor coverings is caused by a number of possibilities, thus it is difficult to determine the various causes. In order to study on discoloration of vinyl floor coverings, vis-UV spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy were carried out. The spectroscopic studies showed possibility of degradation of vinyl resin and colorants.
