A variety of studies about tile finishing on concrete have been made, on the other hand, those studies on ALC panels are little. Especially, studies about stress transfer mechanism between ALC panels and tile, deformation behavior between two materials under compression and tensile stress is not seen much. And mortar is often used for tile facing, in recent years has also increased organic adhesive used. So studies about these adhesive using for tile facing is required. Thus, this paper reports on the results of investigation into the deformation performance of tile facing on ALC panels under compression and tensile stress.

It is expected that method of exterior wall tiling with organic adhesives can prevent delamination of tile to reduce delamination stress in the interfaces between concrete and finishing tiles. In this study, we evaluated the long-time durability of that method. We made specimens of exterior wall tiling with organic adhesives considering rough construction as underfilling of organic adhesives. And we carried out accelerrated weathering test supposed outdoor environment. Thereafter We attempted to evaluate deformation performance in tensile adhesion test and to assess by chemical analysis before and after accelerrated weathering test.

The Evaluation of adhesive ability of tile finishing extrior wall coated with tranceparent acryl urethane water-proofing menbrane carried out by accelation test. In this method, major cause of decrease in adhesive strength turned out to be the distortion gap caused by water adsorption expantion of the concrete. Therefore, the tranceparent acrykic urethane water-proofing menbrane was effective in preventing deterioration of tile adhesive strength.

Precast concrete curtain walls tend to be a large size and light-weight, and cracks of 0.1mm width can form at the original of concrete,in spite of flat painting texture in chosen by for design. And at the light-weight precast concrete used particular aggregate, new problem has occurred that it`s percentage of water content doesn’t goes down quickly. On one hand, recently it is requested to use the water-based coating materials that exhaust non volatile organic compounds to take care of environment. Therefore, we took notice the polyethylene emulsion that are high adhesion strength to high percentage of water content concrete, and we applied that to develop the water-based undercoat. Developed water-based undercoat adhere to concrete under 11 percentage of water content and prevent the formation the blister. And it has verified that developed water-based undercoat can control to width of clack that to be prevent the formation, by to control the thickness of it’s coated film.

In general, concrete substrate is coated with urethane waterproof material after contained water has dried enough.Because troubles of blistering and peeling of urethane waterproof membrane are found here and there after urethane waterproof material has become hardened. On the other hand, take account of quality and durability of concrete substrate, completely dry of it is not necessarily appropriate. With all these factors, we continue the investigation of relation between the amount of contained water of concrete substrate and the blistering of urethane waterproof membrane. In our previous report,we demonstrated that frequency of blistering is derived from thickness of the coating and drying time of primers. In this report, we describe the experimental result of primers to promote curing and consider the factor of reducing means of blistering of urethane waterproof membrane.

We accepted and compare the two coverings of concrete which were surface impregnation materials and coating agent, and verify the effect of moisture, gas permeability and neutralization control. As a result, it was clarified as follows. (1)The surface impregnation materials don’t change appearance compared with plane concrete, but it have not neutralization control. (2)The surface coating agents have visual change, but it have high effect on neutralization control. (3)It anticipates the correlation between gas permeability and neutralization control, but not between moisture concrete and neutralization control. It is necessary to apply the other methods of inspection.

Finishing materials applied to reinforced concrete buildings are known for the improvement effects of durability of reinforced concrete, however, it is not clarified the chloride resistance effect. Chloride resistance of finishing materials is evaluated by apparent chloride diffusion coefficient generally, however, the evaluation methods have not been established. This study deals with the evaluation methods for apparent chloride diffusion coefficient of coating materials for textured finishes. We tried to evaluate by three methods which were literature survey, outdoor exposure test and salt water absorption test. As a result, we showed the extent of apparent chloride diffusion coefficient each type of coating materials for textured finishes. We also showed possibility to estimate the apparent chloride diffusion coefficient based on initial absorption rate of salt water absorption test and moisture permeability of the coating materials for textured finishes.

In order to develop the tool which contributes to decision of future maintenance and management, the technique of predicting the life of external finishing is built. However, it is not easy for construction, environment, material characteristics, an operating condition, and other complex factors to be contained in degradation of external finishing, to accumulate the degradation mechanism for every factor, and to predict the whole. So, in this research, the degradation situation of external finishing is grasped through real structure investigation, a degradation factor is quantified, and establishment of the life prediction technique of the building materials by the degradation simulation using a probability theory model is tried.

In recent years, energy saving have become an important subject. This is resulting from issuessuch as exhaustion of resources, environmental issues such as global warming and atmosphericpollution. Under these circumstances, cooling load has become an important issue concerningwindow panes used in buildings. IR reflecting window panes/heat absorbing window panes are usedto shield sunshine as one solution for saving energy. However use of such window panes hasseveral issues, one of which is the window panes having to be colored. Use of heat absorbingwindow panes has a large effect on shielding sunshine. However, when the sun is shining, elevation of room temperature tends to be greater compared to transparent window panes. Webelieve that the room temperature rise is caused by the fact that the temperature of heatabsorbing window panes themselves elevates by absorbing sunshine. This report details ourproduct that we have developed which is a transparent insulation coating. This product wasdeveloped byreviewing the relevancy of surface temperature and internal temperature of variousglasses with different solar absorptivities and also by reviewing room temperature change andcondition of dew condensation when difference of outside temperature and room temperatureexists

Moreover, with the increase in a scrap wood mixing rate, quality and durability fall and have been a subject of efficient material recycle. So, in this research, while examining long-term durability, when quality double-stratifies a low reproduction resin sheet, improvement in quality and improvement in durability are aimed at at a monolayer.

At a food-processing plant or a factory, chemical coating is used as a flooring material in many cases. The bad smell at the time of construction of a coating floor is high, and organic solvents, such as toluene and xylene, are contained as an ingredient. The main ingredients of these bad smells may remain as a bad smell ingredient, even after the hardening reaction of resin which is TVOC (the total volatile organic compound) and is the main ingredients of a coating floor is completed, and they may bring a bad influence to a product and work. Moreover, the primer used for ground processing work also caused a bad smell in many cases, and the bad smell has generated it over a long period of time in this case. Although "low bad smell type" chemical coating is put on the market on the other hand, what is conventionally compared with elegance and is shown about reduction transition of TVOC is little. This time about epoxy resin system chemical coating and MMA resin system chemical coating which are used in many cases, Since the simple examination which is possible in a testing laboratory was devised and each chemical coating was actually measured in order to predict change of the TVOC amount of emergence by about 8 hours which care-of-health time completes from immediately after construction, the result is reported.

The deck materials using the WPRC receive quite a few worn in outdoor walk environment, and it is thought that it becomes easy to be slippery. We changed a surface state and examined it to grasp that how performance decreased when deck materials were remarkable worn. The examination have done both with a method by JIS and the method by ASTM. As a result that when the surface became smooth, there was no difference in big sliding characteristics if the surface was in a dry state, and the surface became hard to be slippery when it was the water wet. In addition, it became easy to glide slightly when mud attached to the surface. But, in the case of the water wet, the tendency that was reverse to test method by JIS appeared by ASTM. We are going to continue to examine it in order to suggest the test method that is a real walk sense.

In this research, a simultaneous heat and moisture transfer analysis was conducted, focusing on the vent layer which has a large influence on durability of exterior materials. From the results of full scale exposure test, it is observed that the temperature in vent layer near the surface of the ground was lower than the other parts, the temperature below the window was observed to be higher due to the air strage. The temperature below the breather was not affected by the ambient temperature but by the indoor temperature. Also the results were examined by the simultaneous heat and moisture transport analysis in unsteady state which showed a smaller temperature than the measured temperature. In addition, by using the local durability factor obtained by the exposure test , the climatic degradation loads are examined by the analysis.

Recently, water leak issues have been caused by breaking, peeling and deformation of sealants or FRP membrane by degradation over time and contact of marine lives in aquariums. Repair materials that can be used in water are needed to repair the water leak without any concern for the marine lives. However it is known that peeling issues would be seen if an epoxy putty is used as a repair material. Because the epoxy putty shows poor followability to existing sealants. In this report, test results of lab and field evaluations on adhesion properties, curing properties, workability and establishing quantitative assessment with one component “silyl terminated polyether” based sealant are repoeted as a repair material for aquarium maintenance.

Previous studies reported that finishing materials improve durability of concrete, however the mechanism was not clarified. There is a correlation between the water properties of concrete and the durability. So, in former report, the author investigated the moisture contents in concrete by using electrode method and reported the effect of finishing materials on the water transfer properties of concrete in drying and wetting process. In this report, we investigated the water properties of concrete with finishing materials exposed to drying in long period, seventeen month. In addition, the author investigated seventeen month drying shrinkage strain of concrete with finishing materials which would be correlated with water properties.

In residential concrete foundations constructed on sulfate-bearing ground, sodium sulfate contained in the soil attacks concrete, and the scaling of the concrete foundation above the ground level often arises from the crystallization pressure of the sodium sulfate. In this study, we tried to establish a repair method using a coating material. As a result of laboratory experiment, following conclusions were obtained. Before applying a coating, it is necessary to chip the deteriorated part carefully. Coating has to be applied from underground part of the concrete foundation. Polyurethane resin coating, which has high strength, high adhesiveness, and low water permeability, is useful to protect the concrete from the deterioration.

The Plaster can expect the sterilization because slaked lime which is the main ingredients is tinged with alkalinity. However, slaked lime(calcium hydroxide) reacts with the carbon dioxide in the air, with progress of time, it will change to calcium carbonate (neutralization) and the effect will fade.It is expected that neutralization has a relation to the carbon dioxide levels and humidity in the air since calcium hydroxide reacts with the carbon dioxide in the air, turns into calcium carbonate and generates water. In this research, the action of neutralization was pursued in the long run, and it has grasped what kind of action is shown. And, change was given to humidity and the carbon dioxide levels in the air, the conditions of dryness were set as them, and it was verified what kind of influence humidity and carbon dioxide levels would bring the action of neutralization.
