Abstract
We reported that coating tile finish wall with transparent acrylic urethane waterproofing membrane (this method) can reduce risks of the adhesive deterioration of tiles due to fatigue in repetition of stretching and shrinking, which is caused by changes of temperature and humidity. In this report (part 2), We investigated changes of both adhesive strength and failure surface due to 3000 cycles repetition tests of heating-cooling, drying-humidifying, and heating-cooling and drying-humidifying repeat test. As a result, it was revealed that the adhesive deterioration is caused by not only the repetition of heating-cooling but also that of drying-humidifying. This indicates that use of this method against water invasion can prevent the segregation of tile finish wall due to its aging deterioration.
