Abstract
Based on the survey of the buildings, we tried to establish a service life prediction method for exterior finish materials by using a probabilistic model. We surveyed such as cracking of exterior finishing materials of the particular buildings, for four years. Using the simulation results of the Markov chain model, we mathematized the relationship of the aging and the cumulative degree of the deterioration of cracking of the exterior finish materials. We confirmed the correlation between the cumulative degree of the deterioration of cracking of the exterior finish materials and the neutralization depth of concrete structures. The result of discussion of the relationship between the cumulative degree of the deterioration of cracking and the service life of the exterior finish materials, we indicated possibility of a prediction method for neutralization of concrete structure based on the aging of the exterior finish materials.
