Abstract
Environmental management for baking enamel coating system onto aluminum alloy building materials has been continuously studied. In this paper, analysis of 84-month-outdoor-exposed test pieces with powder coating in Ikei-jima and Yabuchi-jima island, Okinawa are discribed. Main results including the previous reported results are as follows. (1) Na and S which are not powder coating components have adhered on the coating surface. These are more detected on the exposed specimen surface in Ikei-jima island where the coating film has been deteriorated shorter term than in Yabuchi-jima island. (2) Cl is detected other than Na and S on the peeled coating backface and the substrate surface where the coating film has been blistered. (3)Based on the analysis of the coating cross section, existence of aluminum oxide on the peeled coating backface and the substrate surface is suggested. The detailed discussion and report would be continued in future.
