Moisture Content Change in Outdoor Exposure Test of Ceramic Siding Materials

Abstract

Frost deterioration of ceramic siding materials will be different, because of regions, orientation, and construction methods. It is necessary to grasp the moisture content of siding materials in a variety of use conditions in order to predict frost deterioration of siding materials in the real environment. In addition, water absorption properties and critical degree saturation of siding materials is believed it is secular change, so it is needed appropriate frost deterioration prediction method considering that. In this research, for the purpose of to grasp moisture content by using a moisture meter, we made a model building using various method siding materials, and conducted outdoor exposure test. It shows the measurement results up to the second year.
