Experimental Study on crack followability of the floor finishing materials on buffer layer

Abstract

As shortening the construction period is demanded and the number of expert craftsmen is decreasing, the using of self-leveling material as the floor substrate is increasing. Highly-strengthed self-leveling material is developed in recent years is able to be used as coated floor substrate. However, when a crack occurs in concrete slab, a crack also occurs in finishing coat because self-leveling material don't have crack followability. Therefore, we examined that ensure the crack followability of self-leveling material by the buffer layer between concrete slab and self-levering material.
