It is troublesome and time consuming to completely remove the existing sealing material in the sealing replacement work at the time of renovation. Also, if it is attempted to completely remove this with a disc sander or the like, there is also a risk of damaging the adherend and its peripheral portion. For such reasons, it is stated that "the existing sealing material is removed as much as possible" even in public specifications, and in most cases, in the state where the existing sealing material remains, the new sealing material is filled There. However, the influence of the remaining existing sealing material on the newly formed sealing material has not been sufficiently verified. Based on such current situation, various tests and the like were carried out on the actual renovation site and the test room regarding the soundness of the newly installed sealing worked with the existing sealing material remaining, respectively. I will report on this content.
