Abstract

In this study, Moisture absorption and release test was conducted to clarify the function of gypsum finished wall.In the experiment, Test pieces were prepared by lime plaster finishing, diatomite finish, paint finish and cross finish. In the odor Moisture absorption and release test, carried out by placing the test piece in a 3 liter closed vessel. As a result, The amount of moisture absorption and release of the test piece using the gypsum material was 5 to 10 times that of the paint finish and the cross finish test piece. The decline in function of the lime plaster finishing wall due to aged deterioration of 10 years was about 10%, and the diatomite finish did not deteriorate in function.
