Abstract

By revising the Building Standards Law, Fire resistance performance regulations were introduced. For indoor fires and outdoor fires, the main structural parts (columns, beams, floors and walls) are required to withstand the fire until the end. The seismic isolation material also is required to have the same fire resistance as the part of the column. Then, in the new method, performance evaluation is carried out in accordance with the fire resistance evaluation standard. However, Verification of fire resistance through refractory test is a heavy burden because it requires huge cost and long time. In particular, The uncertainty of whether or not it meets the performance criteria will be a greater burden. Therefore, the internal temperature prediction of the base isolation material by heat transfer analysis was studied. Abaqus CAE was used for the heat transfer analysis.
