This report evaluates the deterioration state of the lath plaster ceiling which was used in the living room of the heritage building 100 years after construction was peeled off . As for the state of the lath plaster ceiling member collected, it was a ceiling which was quite thick as the lath was rusted and decorated. In order to elucidate the reason why this lath and plaster peeled apart, analyzed the lath and plaster with fluorescent X - ray and thermal analyzer. As a result, it was found that the rust was not subjected to the anticorrosive treatment, and since the plaster was completely carbonation, the lath was susceptible to the influence of water vapor etc. in the air and was easily corroded. In addition, the sampled lacquered ceiling member was considered as if the roof side lath was not completely covered with the plaster and this also caused peeling, and a simulated test specimen was prepared for the verification experiment. As a result of evaluating the coating performance, we report that the flat lath was optimal as the base material of the plaster ceiling.
