Abstract

Chemical emissions of vinyl composition tile containing linseed oil based plasticizer, were evaluated by using small chamber and micro chamber methods. Several aldehyde compounds were detected by using GCMS. The mechanism of aldehyde emission was studied. We presumed that allyl radical resonance was occurred after allyl hydrogen was removed, then various hydro peroxides were generated.
