Image resizing with considering the orders of saliency and gradient

Abstract

In this report, an image resizing method, which changes the size of image and preserves the shape of the main objects simultaneously, is newly proposed. In the proposed method, saliency of the image and strength of gradient are calculated at first. Then, they are ordered and used for the image resizing. In the experiments, the various digital images are used and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.
