Abstract
Tangential force of railways occurs between the wheels and rails and the force is very important because it greatly affects the brake performance. However, the force fluctuates under various factors, e.g., weather or rail condition, and it is difficult to measure it in actual case. We previously proposed that a method to estimate the force by using fuzzy inference. In this proposition, we concluded that the method is better than one by using a dynamical model for estimating the force, but we did not estimate it in real-time and give quantitative evaluations of true value. In this report, we consider a method by using fuzzy inference in a simulation of running vehicle for the estimation in real-time. Moreover, we propose a quantitative evaluation and a method for utilization of estimated tangential force.
