Abstract

There are many earthquakes in Japan. In preparation for large-scale earthquakes, the detailed evacuation plan, such as the location of shelters and evacuation route to shelters etc., is important. In this paper, we consider the evacuation plan using two models: chain flow and time expansion network. These models are applied to Suido-cho in Nagaoka City, Japan. As the result, we find that we need to improve the algorithm of chain flow since the estimated evacuation time is more unrealistic than that of time expansion network.
