Abstract

The purpose of this research is to use RT.1, a robot assist walker, as a robotic partner to assist humans in their daily lives. In this research, particular attention will be paid to supporting the elderly: in addition to walking support, which is the original use of RT.1, interactive communication will be provided to encourage the elderly to exercise and to eliminate lack of exercise and communication. To consider movements, speech, etc. in a real environment, we examined the possibility of communication between the elderly and the robot assist walker on the simulator, and whether it would be possible to provide assistance such as suggestions for walking, exercising, shopping, and conversation.
