Measures to Mitigate Information Asymmetry in C2C Transactions : Survey On Third Party Services (Appraisal Services)

Abstract

In August 2021, we conducted a focus group interview on C2C transactions. From the contents of the discussion of the participants at that time, problems such as authenticity problem, product condition / degree of used, price, credit of partner &platform, etc. were taken up about the used brand goods transaction by C2C.In this report, based on the words discussed by focus group interview. We conducted a questionnaire survey about several questions that are discussed many times by focus group interview. There are a total of 34 questions in the questionnaire. Question items include usage experience such as C2C platform, second-hand goods trading experience, judgment for individual sellers, and so on. We analyzed the results of a questionnaire survey of an unspecified number of people on WeChat in China between March and April 2022 and reported on the need of third-party services.
